Advent Lectio Divina
Sundays, December 1 - 22 | 9:00 - 9:45 a.m.
Lectio divina is an ancient spiritual practice of listening to a passage of scripture or other text with the ear of the heart. Please join the Rev. Patti Snickenberger in St. Luke’s parlor to learn more and consider lectio divina as an Advent (or any time) practice.
Holy Hygge!
Sundays in Advent | December 1 - 22 | 9:30 - 10:00 AM
Many have studied Denmark, the long-held "happiest country in the world," to pinpoint the aspects of Danish life that help bring about this happiness. Much of this can be summed up in hygge (pronounced "hoo-ga"), sometimes translated as "the art of coziness." At once an antidote to over-busy consumerism and a lovely reminder of what matters most, hygge is a perfect way for families to live into the season of Advent, lighting candles and snuggling in to what the Danes call "the duvet of darkness."
Please join the Children & Youth Ministry in the Great Hall on Sundays throughout Advent for hygge themed devotions, crafts, and activities.
